Before Your On-Camera Interview

Technical Setup

  • Recording Platform: We use Squadcast for our interviews. You'll receive an email with a link to our virtual recording room. Please search your inbox for the subject line that starts with [ACCESS LINK INSIDE].
  • Device: Please use a computer if possible. While phones work, computers provide a more stable connection.
  • Internet: A strong WiFi connection is crucial to avoid mid-conversation dropouts.
  • Audio: Use wireless earbuds or wired headphones for the best sound quality.
  • Environment: Find a quiet space with minimal background noise.
  • Mental Preparation

    • Think about key moments in your expat/immigrant journey you'd like to share.
    • Consider challenges you've faced and how you've overcome them.
    • Reflect on advice you'd give to others considering a similar path.
    • On the Day of Your Interview

      Join Early:
      Our host, Courtney, will be in the virtual room 5 minutes before the scheduled time to greet you and address any last-minute questions or tech issues.

      Interview Structure

      • Main Episode: 45-50 minutes discussing your expat/immigrant journey.
      • Bonus Content: 10-15 minutes for a special #AskAnExpat extended interview (exclusive to our Patreon subscribers).

      VERY Important:
